Restorative Dentistry
As much as we try to protect and care for our teeth, life happens. Family Dentistry of Lowell offers a wide variety of repair and treatments for damaged or missing teeth. See below to learn about each of the services we offer.
Crowns
CEREC crowns are full-porcelain restorations created in just one visit using advanced CAD-CAM technology. Each crown is custom-designed to match your natural teeth, offering a seamless look and feel - with no need for temporary crowns or multiple appointments.

Bridges
Bridges are a fixed prosthetic option used to replace missing teeth while also stabilizing the surrounding teeth. Treatment takes one or two appointments and involves using the teeth on both sides of the space as anchors. These supporting teeth are carefully prepared, and the bridge is then cemented into place. Bridges can be made from materials such as porcelain, gold, or zirconia, offering both strength and a natural look.
Implants
Implant restorations are used to replace missing teeth with a natural-looking and long-lasting solution. A dental implant is a surgically placed component within the bone that serves as an anchor for a crown, bridge, or denture. Once restored, implants function like natural teeth and help maintain the health of your jawbone and smile.
Implant restorations are recommended for patients with adequate, healthy bone, and treatment time varies.
Composites
Composite restorations are tooth-colored fillings used to repair a tooth after decay or trauma. Made from biocompatible synthetic resins, composites bond directly to the tooth, restoring both its function and natural appearance in just one appointment.
Composite restorations are recommended for patients of all ages who require treatment.
Dentures
Dentures are a removable solution for replacing missing teeth and restoring your smile. There are two main types:
Complete Dentures - Replace an entire arch of teeth and can sometimes be supported by implants or a few remaining restored roots.
Partial Dentures - Replace one or several missing teeth and are held in place by the surrounding natural teeth.
Dentures are recommended for adults with multiple missing teeth, and treatment time varies depending on the type and customization needed.
